Another of Monty’s picsRegards Pat
Hi Pat this wagon was based at Sheffield depot and driven by Sam Wright who was a mentor to me, he had been a sergeant in the army long range desert patrol during WW2 and I thought he was a great guy but some of the lads said he was an awkward so in so but he was extremely helpful to me and taught me a lot but you did have to do things his way which was not a problem to me as I was just starting out at 21 so his help was invaluable to me and if I suggested an alternative way he would explain any pitfalls to me so I took a lot of his ways into my own.
cheers Johnnie
Just noticed that we are in dire peril of sliding off the bottom of the page.Noticed you are online Pat so as I am going in for the dreaded hip op have you any tips on getting out quick? Regards Charlie

Hi Charlie I should think the best way to be sure you get home quick is to make every effort to ensure your mobility jobby is fully charged up before you go in, just a thought Buzzer.

Hi Charlie
When I had my hip done two years ago it was a very quick job.
I was admitted on the Friday had my op Saturday morning they had me up walking that afternoon then on the Sunday had me walking the corridor, then Monday said I could go home if I could get up and down the stairs OK, so home Monday midday!!!
Pic was taken day after the op!
Not had any problem with it since!
Best of luck Charlie at what hospital are you having it done?
Regards Pat
Blimey Pat, that photo nearly put me off my supper.
Hope you,re ok mate.
Charlie…good luck with the op…I,m sure you,ll be running around in no time.
Hi Charlie now I am a bit concerned that you wont be able to take up your new appointment as security head at Tracy Island due to your impending operation, also how are you going to chase of any intruders with a gammy leg ?
Needless to say I think Horry has to review your position in security forthwith and get some one who is more able as this is a duel role having also to look after madame FIFI and her mate in the corner of the yard.
You will of course be hearing from Richard Evans QC as it appears you are going to break your contract and this will surely have a heavy penalty, yours Buzzer.

Nice one Buzzer … kick a bloke when he’s down eh…prefabley in his hip he’s gonna get sorted…or the other one just for spite…
Don’t worry Charlie, I’ll get you a cushie job looking after the “ladies” on the pink coach…shaving their bikini line perhaps…if your ticker will take it…
Fergie47…have sent you a PM Dave.

Got it…mailed you back…
Hi Pat.Thanks for the info.Got to have a positive attitude I think.I will be carved up at Frimley Park.We can compare scars at the August bash!
Buzzer.I always knew that you were a hard business man but to kick a man in the hip is a bit below the waist.I have spoken to Sir Richard Evans QC and he thinks we may have a good case.Watch this space.Re the chasing of intruders, remember that I have a souped up buggy
which has been converted to diesel so should not cost a lot to run.I must dig out my hosepipe and can.
Tony. Many thanks for your good wishes. The reason my hip has gone is that I spent too many years carrying the likes of Traniht and Ginger Aynsley !
Dave. Many thanks to you for the very kind offer re Fifi and her friend.Im not sure I could manage the two of them. However Fifi
s friend sounds ok.Is she the one with the big IQ ?
In case it all goes wrong I am leaving my Garonor girl to mappo.Jimski can have my waving hand with the two fingers up.MaggieD can have his DKV card back. Its nearly expired.Regards Charlie

Thanks for that Charlie, that,ll go with my Marseilles Lille.
I,m sorry mate, but as you,re gonna be out of action for a while,I think I should be first choice
for the security job at Tracy Island.
Hi,
John I have already raised the papers to both Charlie and Baldrick for the abuse I got on the D.I.T. thread regarding my part in the film, my friend Jason Statham is as we speak travelling through France in his Audi to sort Balders out, and I have given my old rubber hammer to Angela’s sister in law who happens to work at Frimley Park Hospital, she finds them handy to put in the replacement hip.
Fergie, When I saw Pat’s photo I thought Charlie had been having a go at FiFi’s bikini line already
All joking apart Charlie I hope everything goes well with the op,please feel free to use the DKV card to pay for any extra’s you may need, just like the old days if you need to go anywhere after to convaless…
convalles… Get better I hear Syria is quite nice at this time of year
Regards
Richard
Hi Evans QC, now that’s a good name for a new television series of how to rip off the poor and retired from the transport industry, I just want to check is Syria a mate of FIFI’S ? we don’t need Charlie to exert himself to much when he first get’s out of hospital as he might pull his stitches, Buzzer.
Thanks Charlie for the waving hand with two fingers up ! I shall put it in my rear window of the Merc for all the speed cameras I run, Good luck Charlie with the op hope all goes well for you ! We best be quick in coming to see you as from what Pat says you won’t be in for long, I’ll get someone to pick up FiFi and FooFoo we’ll get a bus full and come up and have a party on the ward on Sir Richard Evans QC DKV card, but leave enough for a plus as well !!
Good luck Charlie
Leave the fence till later !
