kerbut:
Nigel Edmunds, when I was Transport Manager for Shears at Wimborne he joined Pallex ,but I believe he was asked to leave the system.
I might have the wrong company, whoever it was had their hub at Rugby, right next to the M6, had a week on night trunk to there when the regular driver was on holiday, wouldn’t have wanted to do that run full time.
That would have been the pallet network then they have since moved to Minworth.

Hi Jim its good to hear Pat is improving that hydro pool is a very good thing as my Mrs had that treatment in 89 and after eight weeks it was like a miracle so I hope it does the same for Pat.
regards Johnnie
I bet you will be glad when Pat gets back Jimmer, your efforts will not go un noticed cheers Buzzer.
PS. A little birdie who for arguments sake we will call Hori told me you had a little private tour of one of the new Skodas, impressive eh !
Hi Buzzer yeah very very nice John, did he tell you he wants me to bring in my liecence cos he’s put in an order for another one ! Said I could start soon as it comes in !! dunno if I could handle that much comfort tho !
But if you got an old 141 I could cope with that
Gearbox still plays up when empty (NFF! No fault found!) I have relayed my concerns to SKODA GB, I did receive a phone call in follow up which is something.
Traction control over active; reducing the tyre pressures on the drive axle to 105psi has helped but I think they could go down some more (95?). We have 19.5" centre axle wheels.
7.3mpg but then we are on punishing work, very little level motorway journeys.
Cab/chassis rollllllllllllls like an old Magnum! Very un-nerving. It maybe due to the silly wheels because the older versions didn’t with 22.5" wheels in the middle.
Gearbox wise a backward step…now the driver has to select what “mode” (of 3) HE wants not what the truck decides! (weight, inclination, terrain etc.).
The older 2 pedal version had it sussed with just 2 modes. In fact my last truck only had ONE mode (AutoPower not fitted!!!■■?) and was completely adequate with manual override, which I rarely used.
Over complication for the sake of it I think, especially as the gearbox educates itself on the way you drive.

Hi Gary,
Just like the old Magirus Deutz 232 then ask GazIow, do you have to double de-clutch these days ?
Hope you are keeping well.
Jeremy I saw Charlie one in Four Marks the other day,I thought he was putting up the Christmas decorations, but I now realise he was nicking the bulbs !!!
Will try and get up to see Pat this week,is there any news ?

Richard.I thought that was you.I only nicked enough for myself. If i`d known you wanted some I could have doubled up.Bit late now.Regards Charlie
Charlie its come to something when you got to go out nicking light bulbs, you ought to be careful as they are probably wired live now that could give you a shock you were not expecting, as well as a knock on the door from plod, but I have heard they do a good Christmas lunch in Four Marks jail, cheers buzzer and a merry xmas to you while ime on.
