Hi Ainacs, the pic of Hills Scammel. I wonder iff that’s a job from Hythe railway stn to Fawley Refinery?? I did a few jobs as mate to George Holbrooks,RIP, on that work, there was a Regular driver on that job and I just cant remember his name? perhaps Chris Hill would know, cheers.

This is my first time in this forum, so I hope this is the right place for my post.
I want to share with you my latest model: the SCANIA LB 141 “Pat Duffy” completely made in LEGO bricks. I love this model and in particular the color scheme.
The cab can be opened to show the powerful V8 and gearbox; doors can be opened too. The 141 has a lot of details such as the roof rack, the ladder and the HELLA supplemental lights.

Regular Drivers probably Jack Collins, Jack Murphy or Brian Vear unless I am wrong

Hi Dispatcher, you could well be right!! have a look at page 206 … 9th pic down that’s one of the jobs I mated on with Barry Jhonson, that I remember, but is it power station or refienery?? I rememmeber the names JUST!! that’s going back to 60’s!! cheers.

To make a model I need a lot of hours; not only to design and to build the model, but also to try and buy the LEGO bricks “all over the world” thanks to specialized web sites. I have built also others models (Volvo and Scania), as soon as I can I’ll upload them on my Flickr account.

298FUW with 60 ton Crane Trailer,
also on page 206 photo 12 onwards Boiler ex Orsett essex to ICI Wilton,
FUW pushing ETN (John Panton in FUW ■■)

Hi Dispatcher, HA!! yes that is FOO FOO as it was known, indeed that was with Barry Jhonson, he was a good chap many a laugh ive had with him. All those pics of boiler and outhers I put on, the boiler job was me ,lenny page, mc alpine, aka macka? Barry Jhonson, and Jhon Panton, I started on the big tr with titch notley, the then steers man whent walk about for what ever reason and I got the job of steers man with tich, I think he was one of the best, to see him back a drawbar tr was something else, was you any thing to do with Hills?? you put me to shame remembering names!! my grey cells arnt what they use to be sad to say, cheers. trunker08

I sold SEV to a man from Northern Ireland so I expect it’s registration was changed, I have no idea if it is still around at all, sorry!

Not quite John it was at the junction at bottom of the hill by Central Station and just to prove it did go around that corner!!

You can see the entrance to the railway tunnel under the above bar by Central Station in the background
