I have a drop there on Tuesday, having a look on Google maps, where is the service entrance? How do I get to it with a truck?

PM user 8 wheels. Sure he has posted about that before. Failing that, search for the post…
If you look at the satellite image you can see the service yard off Lyons Walk.Plenty of room, you need to go round the building down Olympia Way.
Normally saw lorries turning onto Olympia Way off Hammersmith Road and you can follow roads all the way round the place. I have never delivered there myself though only driven passed numerous times. If you look at Google street view it shows gates and roller doors with signs showing a letter. Does your notes have a entrance letter? E.g ‘L’ for Beaconsfield Terrace Road, ‘H’ on Blythe Road and ‘G’ on Lyons Walk.

I dunno. I won’t get the notes till I get to the truck on Tuesday. I was thinking of going up Blythe road and hitting that one. All I was told on Friday was “You’re going into London to a W14 postcode”. It took another 2 hours before they told me exactly where I was going. Still don’t know what I’m taking.
It’s pretty easy once you know which access point you need. Worth doing a search as F-reds has said there was a post about this a while back.
Thanks M1cks. There appears to be a weight limit on that bridge so I’ll have to come down Hammersmith Road off the A4. I’ll be in a 26 tonner.
If there’s a show on, you are supposed to book in at the portacabin in the car park next to the station. Telling them which gate you are tipping at. They will give you a time slot.

Office didn’t tell me that little nugget of info.
What will you be driving?

A 26 tonner rigid.
Yeah, if it’s a show then you may have to wait yer’ turn and book in. Maybe? I do it in an 18t and have to book in.

I guess I’ll find out when I get the paperwork on Tuesday. Where is the portacabin? I can’t see one on Google Maps.
Under the canopy in the car park. Keep the rail station on your right, there’s a car park in front of you. The cabin is in there.
Went down with a guy from my village before I had my licence for some experience and a day out.
Had a trailer full of stuff for some fashion show.
Ended up in a queue of trucks and just had to wait our turn, parked up in a side/backstreet next to it and didn’t move until our number was called. As soon as we were in we got tipped really quick, just a a lot of arsing about beforehand.
I watched the truck/looked out for traffic wardens while the driver went to get the McMuffins in.
Well, having a look at the events list on the website there isn’t anything on the 5th which is the day I’m supposed to be going. I’m guessing. based on previous that it will be a flooring job.
The show may be the day after. It takes a day to set up normally.
Yeah as previously said drive down Olympia Way, you might get stopped by the Hi Viz police there and ask you/direct you from there to where you need to be, you may end up quing on Blythe Road with the other trucks or just go straight in, shows Ect are usually built up a few days before the event, the Security are pretty sound there so you shouldn’t have any dramas.
Good luck and hopefully it will be a hot day so you can enjoy a bit of London totty while you’re stuck in London traffic.
