Ok you London lovers. I have to venture into hell again on Monday. Going to Acklam Road in an 18 ton rigid. Is the best way A4 , Hammersmith A219 past BBC , A402 , Ladbrooke Grove , Chesterton Road , Golbourne Road , St. Ervans Road , Acklam Road. Thanks.
Not a lover myself, but hasn’t been so bad overall the last few weeks I’ve had to venture into the smoke (Haven’t ventured very Eastern or central though). Why not via the wonderful Westway or are you really quite close if you’re starting on the A4? If so, sounds good.
I don’t understand so many drivers hatred of London, I much prefer driving there vs Birmingham
A word of warning for drivers entering London though the hours of the lorry ban.
They seem to be enforcing this quite enthusiastically of late.
We’re around London at night quite a lot and despite having no issues in the last 18 months we’ve had 2 in the last fortnight including, unfortunately, myself.
Cheers
Neilf
Hate going into the smoke on a day shift, nights allow for erm miscalculations, always study www.bing.com for up to date maps, the air photos are awesome.I always get the phone number of the client. its helped me countless times.
