Oh what a surprise,mr Khan wants to screw even more than a days wage out of us.because some idiot in a Range Rover can out accelarate quicker and f–k you over at a set of lights.your too busy watching the 6-7 push bikes coming inside and outside of you plus the mopeds with the wide load boxes and no mirrors, plus the 20-30 pedestrians who don’t know how to cross the road correctly.even though we all know that soon as you get into a truck we are given telepathic powers,I thought matey driving the 80k gas guzzler was enjoying his conversation with his phone to his ear to much to think he was going to floor it and cut me up as soon as I had 16 metres of clear road to pull into. It’s all getting a joke taking a truck into the city.they don’t want us there so maybe we should take a stand and call their bluff for few days and see who needs who then.
I feel your pain. I set off to move through the junction when two cars from the r/h lane cut across the front of me and moved into lane one taking my clear space. Hey ho, company paid it.
Been there, done that.
Exact same reason, pulled away, car got in front and left me stranded in the box.

I’m expecting one from the last set of lights A10 leaving the dump just before M25, same thing plenty of room for me till several cars decided to do the biz so last third of me trailer was sat in the box for about 20 seconds.
Luckily i don’t go into the centre of hell any more, not as i’d recognise it now, and if i never go there again that would be fine.
I had one my arse end was just in the box junction same thing cars nipped in the space, think it was 60 quid then , they are parasites, money for old rope
Absolutely agree with your suggestion of calling their bluff and refusing to deliver anything in London for a few days. Its about time we hauliers stood up to the fact enough is enough. They would soon realize as they did with the fuel blockades a few years back. I think action is needed and soon. The compliance is now beyond a joke. What do others think of potential action to raise awareness that many have had enough?
Stopping in a yellow box is not an offence…entering the box without a clear exit point is…so I would have thought that all the above cases are worth appealing, specially as the cameras can see exactly what happened.
Surely if you enter a box with a clear exit and then the situation changes after you’ve pulled away then you’ve done absolutely nothing wrong.

Exactly my thoughts Gordon and all correct.
If drivers knew the rules rather than try to blame others all the time they might not get so stressed.
got done on the A5 coming out of London (Brent), Box junction just before traffic lights, lights went red as I got up to it, had a choice of going through lights or stopping with arse over yellow box. got fined anyway, wasn’t happy
Always worth an appeal I was caught while back when a car cut in front, the photo quite clearly showed the car(BMW btw)at an angle from the right lane into the left lane it was quite clear what had happened, the penalty should not have been sent out but they just chance their luck and hope it’s paid without question

Split pin you sound like you have a bit of a chip on your shoulder regarding every other driver cyclist and pedestrian.
Observation and anticipation are two great qualities that show the difference between a good lorry driver and a not so good one.
I drive various wagons in London most weeks and although it can get frustrating it is not too hard to stay out of trouble.
Try to chill and stop blaming everyone else for your problems and you may feel less stressed.
The cameras are triggered automatically by the stationary vehicle. The number plate is read by a machine and the penalty notice procedure kicked off automatically (albeit with the photo checked by a human to verify that it appears to be the correct vehicle). All this is done from the static photo. Only if the penalty notice is challenged (or it goes to Court) does the video footage showing the full circumstances get checked.
As mentioned by others, the offence is committed by entering the box when your exit is not clear, not by simply stopping within the box. This is where the much derided forward facing dash cam can easily pay for itself…

Hate to get caught out in a yellow box.
Had a near miss today, just managed to catch sight of the traffic stopping suddenly due to a cyclist fannying about and anchored up.
Unfortunately this meant I’d made a small error of blocking the pedestrian crossing. Que angry waves from the poor folk waiting to cross and me shouting out the passenger window:
“sorry, sorry, love you. Look I said I was sorry, no I really am. Look I’m a crap driver and winging it. Oi ginger ■■■■ leave me trailer alone. I’d give you one darling and your husband…” Etc

You seem to know all about me considering you know absolutely nothing.
I would also like to bet I have done more miles in lorries than a lot on here.
I am not a troll as you seem to think but unlike you know the reality of the future of the Industry and do not pretend nothing is happening just because I don’t want it to.

Truck simulator doesn’t count.
Oh the irony to think that someone so clever may have confused me with a member with similar user name, never mind you could always self medicate with donepezil as a Dr I’m sure you will know what it’s used to treat
they say that many people would win an appeal, if only they bothered…so i would certainly appeal…theres nothing to lose…although i always never take chances, cros the yellow box if its clear, if its not, i stop and wait…my wife got done, she was approaching a yellow box, in traffic, and the traffic moved, she moved, but the car coming out of the left turning also did, and filled her gap, so in effect she had to stop on the box, got a ticket…appealed it and won…in this instance the box was to keep the road clear for vehicles approaching and turning right ( where the other came from 0 so stopping where she did was not causing an obstruction as the turn was happening behind her…someone saw sense.
