So far I have been unable to find any exemption for elderly historic vehicles over 3.5t from the requirement to fit extra mirrors, sideguards and to cut holes in the passenger door. While few actually relish the idea of driving through the hell hole of london, if the vehicle is unable to achieve around 40 mph I reckon it is safer to go through rather than round. Does anyone know whether old vehicles are actually exempt?
This picture came in the latest fors annual report and it wasn’t a don’t do this either ,it would appear that it’s ok to put your fors sticker in the n.s windscreen together with the fors olicence disc holder ,I can’t belive they are so stupid as to promote all the saftey bull and new regs and yet no mention of creating unnecessary blind spots with their adverts .

I fully agree with you Dan, All the regulations that were enforced on the hauliers delivering into London some years ago were total ■■■■■■■■ IMO, For instance the London Lorry Ban Plates the we had to apply for and display was a joke, I remember our F Reg Leyland R/Train running into the London area, Then being told that we would have to have some kind off silencers fitted to the air braking system so as not to cause a noise that would upset their residents, ■■■■ the lot of them I say, Regards Larry.
