London rubber company F10 globetrotters

robthedog:
If u contact Dawson rentals Tongwell Milton Keynes they can answer your questions regarding numbers quantities etc as they supplied them all new on contract hire hope this helps they will also have original photos.

As a Dawsonfreight Commercials old boy!!!. Although I had already moved on to pastures new when the vehicles in question were supplied.I can confirm the Dawson Rental connection which also included forty five foot tandem axle box trailers also in plan white.Unfortunately I cannot verify numbers in the contract,I will however contact someone within the organisation who will know.

L15LRC remains in the Milton Keynes area working for a repair agent still in good order and sounding great!!!1

Matthew Kibble Transport have L11 LRC which is being restored at a slow pace. It was bought from EM Rogers under the condition it was restored not exported.

Seem to remember a flurry of press releases - some of them quite in-depth - when this fleet was put on the road, mainly due to their unusual spec (F10 gobstopper) and the operator (Durex - snigger…).
Can’t recall a full supporting article in either Truck or T & D, but I’‘’ stand corrected. I remember thinking at the time that these would make good second-hand buys for others.
Did a chap in Blidworth, Notts have one done up?

Hiya …ive got this for now i took this photo 15th august this year

John

I used to do quite a lot of agency work for LRC out of Parkhouse Ind Est
and remember driving one of the newly livered white Globetrotter’s.
DUREX in blue written down the side of a white 40ft box trailer did just stand out.
Always remember driving thru Sheffield on the M1 and a coach load of pensioners going
past staring out the windows and pointing!
Absolutely hilarious!

I now own L14 LRC here are a few photos at gaydon 2010.

Back around 1994/5 I can remember a LRC motor parked in a front garden down a country lane just outside Dover.
Buddie of mine who lived local said it was owned by a subbie.
Would the date tie in.
