It occurs to me that in the middle of the night, there’s still a lot of LGV traffic moving around on the “restricted” areas of London’s roads.
the 18t 21:00-07:00 stuff.
Now, I accept that most of what I see is the local food delivery stuff - but assuming all traffic is monitored by Camera - How is it enforced upon those
vehicles that “shouldn’t be there”? How do the camera operators know which vehicles are from a permitted local firm?
Do vehicles from a local depot “automatically have a permit”?
Is the system “laxed” when there are diversions (for buses) in place, forcing all traffic down an otherwise 18t street at night?
I was hoping to learn all about LBTS in my DCPC training - but it didn’t happen.
Only the C2 vehicles seem to be displaying the FORS stickers btw… I can’t believe that every artic I see is “from a local depot” rather than just trying to get into/out of the centre of town?
