Why have I got to log in every time …even when ticking the box to stay logged in … 
Perhaps you’ve got your device configured not to store cookies for Trucknet-UK.
I’m exactly the same, every time I go onto the site I’ve to log in.
Cookies likely corrupt. Clear cookies (or just those for TNUK if you know how), then try again.

How do I do that on an iPad?
Settings, Safari, then you can either Clear ‘History and Website Data’… so go into Advanced, Website Data, and delete the data for individual sites, or clear all from there, does the same as before but leaves your history intact.
Oh, and in Safari Settings, make sure Block Cookies is NOT set to always block.
