Lockdown isolation legal requirement

dozy:
Jesus bloody Christ , w t f are drivers doing if they can’t afford to live for 2 weeks without wages ( I’ve just had a month off & have ate & all the bills have been paid )
They obviously didn’t listen when I said put money away for a rainy day ,I think it’s more there bloody money mad , it’s like the bloody idiots who roar there eyes out when there’s no o/t , go and enjoy the bloody weekend , I’d rather be locked down to the house than driving a bloody lorry for a few £££££ , I bet the bloody idiots sell there holidays as well !!!

This. I had major back surgery with zero notice in August 2019. Walked out to car, back went pop, lost use of left leg, went to hospital and straight into surgery. Had 12 weeks off getting nothing but £95 SSP. Managed to pay all the bills just fine because I’d got an emergency fund.

All those people saying to keep schtum is why it’s spread like it has and we’re now in lockdown again, thanks idiots.

For anyone interested and still reading there’s a £500 payment you can get from the council if you have to self isolate.

Well if you need to lockdown because of the supposed deadly virus then make sure you do. We are now an official police state, helped along by the lemmings that have fallen for this overreaction and wilfully given away their liberties to supposedly save lives. A ridiculously low mortality rate has now given the police the power to force entry to your home to check if Covid rules are being broken. And still the lemmings want more restrictions. Well done

Yeah good luck getting that £500 as its up to local council to drive whether you need it. Think its something like 75% of applications have been refused.

Oh and if you have a job you’ll pay tax on it too!

The best way of getting people to isolate is to ensure they’ll not worry about money - ie furlough for the isolation period. Compliance will shoot up because one of the main concerns (money) is taken out of the equation.

Most people in our industry wouldn’t qualify for it anyway as its for those on a low income, even the lowest paid driving jobs probably pay too much to qualify as low income.

Agreed, it’s pretty scary how so many people are complying to anything and everything the Govt and msm are propagating

Not a whiff of that video on the msm either, no surprise there

Sweet Jesus that you tube clip is horrendous! That’s the type of thing that we’d have been up in arms with if it had happened in some banana republic, not Britain ffs! :imp: :imp:

I have no problem with people rigidly adhering to what ever edicts our pitiful government come out with. My problems start when they not only swallow and embrace all the guff but they then actively pontificate loudly about anyone who expresses the slightest doubt as to the direction we’re travelling. The type of person who snitches on neighbours at the merest hint of non compliance. They truly deserve a special place in hell and are beneath contempt.

I agree 100% mate, arse holes of the highest order :smiling_imp: … I hate that type of low life scum with a vengeance, always have always will. :smiling_imp: .
That vid is shocking and a ■■■■ outrage, everybody on here pass it on, via what’s app facebook and the like, people need to see this to see what this country has been reduced to, and how the Police seem to be revelling in it.

The £500 is for low earners. My local council only pay out to people in receipt of benefits, I wouldn’t qualify.

2 weeks on SSP for me would see my wages £900+ short, i’m not flush enough to be dipping into my hard earned savings to support a government order to stay at home as a precaution when I otherwise feel fit & well to work. Thats my rainy day fund for when i’m actually unfit to work or find myself unemployed. In the absence of any financial support, if i’m symptom-free then i’m keeping quiet & going to work and will take sensible precautions.

There is no reason for there not to be any financial support given the billions being shaken off the money tree to keep furlough going etc. Giving people the financial means to stay at home would improve the situation and would mean that the track & trace system wouldn’t be the catastrophic failure & waste of public money it has been.

I live alone, I work alone, and I’m the only source of income in my household.
I’ve never been tested, so I don’t have a clue if I’ve been infected.
I pull a face covering from the moment before I get out my car in the yard, till the point I drive out the gate, only removing it while alone in the cab, I wear nitrile gloves non stop throughout my shift, the truck cab is wiped down as soon as I get in to it with disinfectant wipes, at every delivery point I pull on my mask and bark at anyone who comes close to me who isn’t wearing one. How much more can i do to protect myself from people around me who maybe infected
So should I go get tested ? As the consequences for a positive test and self isolation means no income, bills not getting paid and no food on the table

Well done you !!

A mask offers zero virus protection to the user,

It may stop you giving the virus to other people.

Every time you touch your mask you risk giving the virus to yourself. Im guessing you dont wash your hands before and after removing/fitting your mask ■■

Do you use a new mask everytime??

And if you barked at me for not wearing a mask. I would tell you to ■■■■ off !!!

Good day sir
