Lock n go trailer

hi , does anyone know anything about ‘lock n go’ (i think thats the name)trailers, they are 45’ long and can be shortened down , used by brick hauliers etc… Who makes them?, are they any good?, heavy?, lots of wear?
thanks,
Keith

general consensus is, they’re crap, high maitainence and far to heavy for the job, hanson have used them for a while but are replacing em as they can.
can’t remember the exact payload but it was something like 24t on a tri unit, which just aint enough.
you thinking of giving bricks ago?

no bricks, thought they might be handy with a moffet on back, cut down on trailers, we have 33’ flats and 45’ flats, need the short 1s for rural deliveries.

see what yer mean, thought about a rear steer? bang handy when it’s tight.

They were made by Raven Trailers, who went bust a few years ago, but the Raven Brothers have kicked off again as RavensTrailers. They are the same as the skellys, and using the skelly version in short mode on the road was not recommended as if the trailer was jolted, the locking mechanism had a habit of unlatching, locking the brakes, and stretching as it was designed to(Lock and Go), only if it happened at 56mph on the A14, the rear of the trailer got left behind because the brakes did’nt have time to release when the trailer reached its full length :open_mouth: :open_mouth:
I’ve got the skelly version, find a good one and treat it with a little TLC and they are alright.
