if nuneaton is west mids how come bedworth is still in warwickshire

Nuneaton & Bedworth are in Warwickshire, but half of Coventry down the road is West Midlands. The county kinda curves around it. Have a look on the Philips West Mids Map and you’ll see what we mean 
Of course, half of Coventry want to feel “posh” or “special” and thus say they live in Warwickshire…
But then again, the University of Warwick is in Coventry too I’ve done by stint in the Post Office too!
