Loading, Straps Etc Etc

Any decent guides / videos for strapping down a palleted load for a curtain sided trailer, I know that they got them internal strapped but how reliable are they ?

And from the limited experience with curtain sides I was always lead to believe that they really should be treated as a flat bed… but these monkeys in some of the warehouses don’t want you using additional straps due to the possible damage to the product…ie boxes of washing powder… cereal stuff generally for sale to the public

You need some special anti-gravity straps. Office will sort you out with some.

Anti-gravity straps… Hummmm explain left hand down… aint see or heard of them before…other than the ones you wrap around ya ankles so you can suspend yourself upside down :grimacing:

Not seen them for sale on the net…

You won’t see them for sale on the net, they are quite rare. Just ask in the office when there’s some other drivers there, they’ll know what they are. They’ll sort you out.

Then when you’re loaded, if it’s an Artic/Long Vehicle, go to the weigh bridge & tell them that you need a Long Weight, just to check its within tolerances.

Another good idea is a box of Skyhooks never move once tied down and dont take up much room once rolled up.
Saw a box in halfords last week
