Can you load 44t in france if your only a certain distance from ferry/ tunnel to uk■■? Any help please??!!
40TN, unless you can load ,and miss getting stopped
by the nice Enforcement officers, thats if, where
you are loading, they would(?) load you. to 44tn,s.
Been loading 44tn all over france, never had a problem, but then never been weighed i think you can run the corridor at 44t but then again i could be wrong, but the bosses i have worked for would always pay the fine for something like this
Transmanche /LD ferry company adverts say 44ton allowed in radius of Marseille port and Rome,South of France to Italy ferry routes.
I believe only intermodal can move at 44 tonnes, everything else is 40 tonnes.
Correct Harry unless they have
changed their laws,
We looked into it recently because I moved a scrap ship’s crane from Cartagena to Hamburg and that worked out at 44 tonnes.
My boss said “If you get pulled up, tell 'em it’s intermodal because it’s been on a ship”.
44t within a radius of 100km of port of departure,as long as country of arrival allows 44t…
Ran from Lille back to England regular with glucos tank for turners soham…
I used to run at 44 tonne when the law was only for intermodal but can’t remember the rules for France. I used to work from Bettembourg in Luxembourg or from Lille.
As far as I am aware, gross 44t can only use the corridor to get to ship or train, 40t being the legal weight in France.
