load brokers?

Hi all,
I run a small operation here in Ireland. Have 2 units on contract work.
It looks like work will be drying up for one of these in the near future.

Question I have,
Does anyone use the brokers the likes of timocom or haulage exchange extensively? or do people just use them for back loads? I am interest in doing runs to the UK and Europe and world love the hear what others have to say on this? Is the rates good, is there much work etc■■?

I didnt need theses services in the past, but changing times!

Thanks in advance

Hi Jimmy.
Have you thought of pulling for Norbert Dentressangle France, I currently work for them and they use Owner Drivers plus the money seems to be good. They send trailers to Ireland.

Hi Frenchflyer,

Thanks for the reply.
No I haven’t tried them, but I will get in contact with them.

Cheers…Jimmy

How much do they pay for km?

has nobody ever used any load brokers??

You’d just use them for reloads home Jimmy, you need your own primary rate work out. The flip flops will do the out bound work for a squirt of ■■■■ to get home as most of them price the jobs over here to go back empty as we are a net importer and don’t export much.

Thanks Silver,
I thought that but was hoping I was wrong!
