it was Saturday morning running in, 2 miles from yard and traffic, not stoping for 45 there, no way,
So when was the 4 and a half up then, 2 miles away?
… and then it took you an hour in traffic to get back or what ?
Ok fair enough, on a Saturday morning I would probably blag up to 5 mins or so over to get back, and then do a printout to explain traffic etc, but I still say an hour over is taking the ■■■■ tbh mate.
Reckon your firm will be getting a courtesy call from VOSA.
Dozy in disguise?

If they haven’t already! Surely having a driver going over a 4 1/2 by an hour and a half would be grounds to make a visit.
I think you were lucky that he only did you for the card infringement, although I never bothered about strapping loads in tautliners, I used to carry full loads of Rockware glass, two pallets high without internal straps and never had any problem.

Yeh we all did once…, full load of pulp or on end reels, and they never moved.
Then all at once as if by magic, it was deemed unsafe, so you either strap up, or get done, …doesn’t mean you agree with it.
I as most do, think it’s bloody stupid, but I just play along with it, and at the same time view this type of thing with the contempt it merits.
Or you can just have a blase cavalier attitude towards this type of rule, and drivers hours rules (as the o/p evidently does) and ignore it, but as he has proved, you still get done.

Bills to pay , yep , you’ve listed a couple there , but keep up the good work , you’ll end up with no vocational license to earn anything to pay your bills

They’ve reported you…you won’t of heard the last of it,guarantee that.
that why I paid strait away, hopefully it’s been dealt with, I’ve had 3 breaks today, it’s boring
No it hasn’t been dealt with. You’ve been dealt with for the 5.5hrs without a break but the rest of it will be winding its way towards the powers that hopefully have the sense to take your HGV entitlement off you permanently you ■■■■.
Morons like you are why the pay is so crap.
NO, the pay is so crap because the haulage industry is full of immigrants who work for ■■■■ all. Doh

have you ever gave a [zb] though lol
I think I did once, then I went to work for our old boss then that all changed lol

hahaha yeah but that all unravelled a few years down the line after upsetting the a few too many drivers lol

Yeh well done mate, you are preaching just what ‘they’ want us to believe
, then the focus is taken off the real reasons.
Peirre has got it right, and we will always have to work for the wrong side of ■■■■ all, exclusively because of the boring old chestnut of ‘drivers never sticking together’ for improvements. (Yeh I know, sane old same old, yawn ■■■■ yawn)
If we ever did (which we never will
) we could not request but DEMAND better pay, (ref Railway unions) by gridlocking the economy.
The powers that be would ■■■■ themselves.
But they are happy that few have the ■■■■■■■■ for it, and happy that we just carry on moaning blaming the likes of the Poles, and that some are doing stupid bloody things like 5 and a half hour drives, as the o/p, and others fiddling tachos, and going like ■■■■ for the benefits of the firm’s profits instead.
Don’t you just love drivers eh?
…

Was it you I met in TJ Morris liverpool last saturday?
