Currently living with my parents but thinking it might be time to gerroff. Can you guys give me a rough idea of costs though? I lived with my ex back in 2004 so I’m not completly ignorant to it all but I know prices have changed considerably. From memory, here’s what it cost back then, what sort of change should I expect?
Rent: £400
Council tax: £96
Water: £15
Electric: £20
Food, approx: £250 for two
Other stuff, bog roll, cleaning etc: 15
Anything else? I knowAbout car, mobile etc and won’t have a telly (not interested) just after a rough idea whether I can afford to or not.

i pay £360.- Rent in Shared House without Council Tax
TV Tax £150.- about
Water and Electricity free
Food £…,well,Poridge were cheap, but £250,-/Month? Poridge is healthy but boring
well,thats for near london. Overthere may be cheaper.
Google for Gumtree and enter City you are looking for. But food is expensiv if you don’t cook yourself

i can save money on food as i can cook if i was using chippy/chinese/ready meals cost me a lot more

House contents insurance well there is a can of worms for you it all depends on where you live what you would like insured the value how much excess etc
