Couldnt have happened to a nicer company…They took over what was left of the old transport cafes, then barred trucks from using them, so obviously the car drivers didnt use them enough, whereas the truckers would, through summer and winter…so im very pleased theyre going out of business, maybe they can be taken over by trucknet` and reverted back to their original use as cafes.

I didn’t think Little Chef welcomed lorry drivers in them. Me and a mate did a job one saturday & he suggested going in for breakfast. We parked down the road and walk back to it, when we were eating I asked why he wanted to park down there & he said it was because he’d been refused service in there once before with the lorry parked outside. Had I known that I wouldn’t have gone in and I haven’t been in one since.

Just goes to show how they shot themselves in the foot by turning away customers.

I have been in one or two over the years where I’ve parked the truck opposite or nearby and never been refused service.
Tony’s on the A1 at Grantham always had truck driver’s in there.
The one on the A12 north just before the A120-Harwich split serves truckers,no problem.

But,a lot of them do/did refuse to serve truck driver’s,they obviously think we are lower class,even though our money is as good as anyone else’s.
