Little bit of help please brain has gone dead

I’m used to a simple shift pattern of 5 on 2 off or 5/6 on etc etc. I’m looking to see if I can pull an extra shift somewhere, the coordinator says you can reduce 2 weeks on the trot but I was under the impression it was reduce then full weekly rest the following week.

I’ve included my end of February planner to help.

I know I could legally do 30/31 depending how my rest falls in April, other than that I don’t think there is anything else I can do. Am I right?

My shift start no earlier than 1800 and finishes no later than 0430 so when I’m off for 2 days I have which is 61 1/2 hrs off and a reduced rest would be a minimum of 37 1/2

your best bet is to do a spread sheet and colour the working days in and work it out that way …
all my shifts are done that way a month per line …

Presumably you’re having a regular 45 hour weekly rest period this week.

Based on the informations given you can have a reduced weekly rest period in either week 5 or 6 (not both) and work an extra day in one of those weeks but as far as I can see there’s not much else you can do.

As far as having reduced weekly rest periods on two consecutive weeks is concerned, you must have a regular weekly rest period fall at-least partly in every second week, so you cannot have only reduced weekly rest periods in two consecutive weeks.

You don’t need to bother about compensation as it will easily be paid back.

Thank you Tachograph, I thought I couldn’t do two reduced weeklys but have never had to worry about it.

Never had so much time off lol
