Looks like a development in battery technology here.

Yeah great news, The battery tech chemistry is moving so fast these days with CATL showing good results of sodium ion battery progress & manufacturing ever bigger quantities of LFP batteries. lithium & Nickel have sky rocketed in price over the last year as more & more of the legacy auto makers clamber for these EV battery commodities.

Another week and yet another claim about battery technology, I’ll believe it when it actually happens.

Sulphur is almost double the weight of lithium by volume. So double the weight to mine and ship and haul around as the finished product.
At least the 3.5t Transit EV should be able to manage it.Or maybe go for the full fat 7.5 tonner.
Although charging it will be a problem when EDF has to switch off more nuke power stations to keep the German neighbours happy even if could afford the electric bill.

The new German government are putting the Kibosh on blue hydrogen now even with carbon capture technology, There’s a data base being set up to certify the carbon footprint of hydrogen & low carbon fuels. euractiv.com/section/energy … -hydrogen/

Bearing in mind that the German government has been hijacked by a bunch of useful idiots, like the Macron regime, on a bent vote and that the reality of the situation will become clear when they, like all the rest, realise that the choice is between nuclear or fossil/carbon and the Fatherland rightly won’t accept nuclear.
Nothing that the German faux government, or any other anti fossil fuel government, says can be taken with any credibility. The acceptance of nuclear power generation and resulting costs, let alone disaster, will decide this fiasco and then U turn on the bent deals with the UN and its ‘developing countries’ which have brought us here almost to the brink of such a disaster.

Tesla travels 1,200km on a single charge with breakthrough battery

MSN

The issue of 40p + per kwh + road fuel duty and 20% VAT.
Also the ever increasing price of battery raw materials and the fact that it’s the inconvenience required to ‘recharge’ not just the interval ‘between’ recharges and the fact that an EV just can’t provide the ownership satisfaction of a decent 6-12 cylinder ICE powered vehicle for the price.
Is what’s holding back take up of EV’s.
At least until the backlash resulting from the inevitable nuclear disaster sooner or later takes over.
I doubt that many people are now going to rush out to their nearest Tesla outlet to place an order in that regard.

If nuclear power gets a ‘Green’ stamp of approval they’re talking about 600-700 nuclear power stations will have to be built worldwide :open_mouth: euractiv.com/section/energy … ur-border/

Ironically the real Greens will then finally see this CO2 scam for what it always was.
Replacing the lesser evil of fossil fuels with the infinitely greater one of nuclear.
Everything else was a diversion to hide that aim and too many of them swallowed the lie.
While even the useful idiot Labour vote will realise that going all electric will force most into fuel poverty in addition to the risk of nuclear diaster.
