The collapse of Carillion…
Has delayed the opening time. The council say’s it should be able to find a new contractor resonably quickly.
I still can’t fathom out why (aside from short term costs) they have put roundabouts in at all of the junctions. For example the B1188 will meet at a roundabout, Mrs Scoggins on her bi-monthly visit to the Womens Institute coffee morning will bimble across (having the right of way) a major A road causing every man and his dog to stop, look, check, check again, stop for the guy in front who’s not quite sure and then finally get going again.
For crisssakes will road planners for once put in the flyover during the initial construction instead of the usual wait until the traffic queues build up over a number of years, do a survey, put traffic lights in, do another ■■■■■■■ survey and finally after years of jams put a flyover in.
Rant over.
