Life span of a Waeco truck fridge

My Waeco fridge that I was boasting about how long I’d had it the other week on here, finally died on me last week.

Apparentlly the alloy pipe has corroded letting go all the gas in the fridge (I’m blagging it btw as I know jack ■■■■ about fridges  )

So they reckon even if I can get a new pipe for the now obsolete model, it will cost a bit for replacement, re.gas, and labour.

I reckoned up how long I’d actually had it and it was longer than I thought…2003, so 16 years of use in quite a few different trucks. :open_mouth:
If that aint a good advert for Waeco,.I don’t know what is.

I luckily had a ex DAF drawer type fridge on my loft that I’ve fit into the Actros, but I’ve lost 2 drawers of storage, but it’s deffo a cheaper option than a new Waeco

Anybody else beat 16 years use on their truck fridge?

(Btw…is this as boring a thread as a ‘‘Which sat nav’’  )
Yeh?..Well at least it’s original.

I have a Waeco in my allocated lorry. It works fine. There’s no other point to my reply other than to gloat. I’ll FaceTime you when you finally drag your lazy ■■■ back to work midweek just to show you it working!

If you were a REAL mate you would give me that fridge out of sympathy (you paid ■■■■ all for it) and put your own stuff in the back of your fridge trailer. :unamused:

If ever…

There was a post that was ‘blagged’ this one is it.

Admit it, you have no idea at all what you’re on about.

I am sure there is a fridge engineer on this forum somewhere who may be of assistance mate…

 Yeh, just repeating what the fridge engineer told me tbh.
My many dubious talents do not include fridge expertise… Speaking of which, I know of a man on here who fits that bill  , where tf is ‘‘he’’ when you need him? :bulb:

Don’t be ridiculous! Can you imagine what minus 22 degrees would do to my carefully balanced diet of 24 bottles of Bud and an apple?

I can confidently…

Inform drivers that 24 stubbies of Biere Blonde will be perfectly chilled from ambient at -25 degrees in exactly one and half hours.

took me over three trips to spain to perfect this

Ya bet me to it mate.
If he is still on here surely the word ‘‘Fridge’’ will attract him like Batman’s night light.

If you’re on here UKt, pm me, there’ll be ‘good drink’ in it for you if you can help.

Evidence of a very skilled driver right here.

Multi tasking and scientific observation. Maybe the OP should stop moaning at other professionals and get his hand in his pocket. I saw him drop a 50p a while back and his hand looked like an Apollo command module re-entering earths atmosphere on it’s way down to catch it.

Says the bloke who keeps insisting it’s my turn for.breakfast (again !), even though last time I got cleaned out at Poplars on 2 mega breakfasts, and whenever it’s his turn it’s a cheap breafast deal (coffe and a roll :unamused: ) at Greggs. :unamused:

Absolute slander and verging on a hate crime.

Can someone please be offended on my behalf please?

I’m…

Ever so slightly offended.

I more worried about you and the ‘other one’ consuming Poplar megas. Anything approaching 1000 calories on a plate is practically a death wish.

It’s been said that if you put too much stuff in a fridge it has to work harder, have you been overeating a bit lately, we don’t want you to lose your butch looks, it won’t look good on our holidays

I don’t like speedos they are not butch, you would have everyone after you in them and i might get jealous especially in the Costa Blanca

I hate Poplars, the coffee is atrocious. I wish there was a place to get a decent coffee not to far away from there.
