Just been on the local news that Lidl are applying for planning for a new RDC just off junction 2 of the M27. Don’t know anything about there transport, is it all one contractor or in house. Don’t recall seeing any liveried vehicles.
In the kent RDC Lidl distribution is done by contractors. A lot of germans do it 
if its anything like Aldis it will be very efficient. even suppliers drivers tip their own loads so how quickly you get tipped depends on you. i would imagine their own drivers load their own trucks too and they pay well. they advertise at £7 or £8 just to work the checkouts at Lidls. aldis pay over £9 per hour for drivers.
im guessing they will be applying to base themselves next to tescos RDC
