in brief my hgv entitlement ran out in may, i sent all documents to dvla, including doctors notes explaining heart issues, i get suspended from my night job because boss says i cant play with out licence, dvla return my application because of date error on the application, i returned a new application all checked, dvla inform me its now being processed, due to back log its taking longer than normal. now the twist, i have just had an angiogram to check my heart and im now told i have no angina or any other problems with the heart, never have, doctor has clearly jumped the gun on his prognoses, i now cant get hold of dvla to explain and try to get them to talk to my doc, hopping doc is going to do the right thing, 
Commiserations… My recent provisional entitlement upgrade took way longer than the 3 working weeks they quote…
Sounds like you’d be better off keeping schtum for now, wait till you get your licence, then try to update everybody on your health situation. At least the boss will be able to photocopy it (and you should, too) and give you the keys back…

Phone the DVLA medical department and as them to send you a cover note so as you can keep working, I do this every year and my bosses insurance company have no problems about it.
got cover note, new employer happy with this, glad i havent got to tell him ive got issues, the problem i have is convincing dvla the doc has wrongly diagnosed a condition i havent even got. trying to contact the dvla to point out the docs error and hopefully might get things moving but as they tell me and every else who contacts them they a very busy… think this is going to be a long winded battle 
I have news for you Hellielad10 your Doctor or Cosultant will have to send in a written report of your angiogram a phone message wont satisfy DVLA doctors and once they receive it, you after a week/ten days will get a letter telling you they have received your report and that their doctors will examine the evidence and will reply to you in approx. 12 weeks. Having spent the last 10 months trying to get my car licence back believe me the one thing they don’t do is hurry. Eddie.
