LICENCE QUESTION

Hi i live in France but i am thinking of coming back to the uk to live and do training for LGV C +E , at present i have a french licence very recently issued , i got my uk licence in 1988 so i have C1 and C1E. my question is in order to do my cat C will i have to convert my licence back to a uk licence with a provisional lgv C entitlement ? I plan to live and work in the uk. and does any one have some idea of how long it might take DVLA to do this for me ?

yes UK licence having just passed my C

you will need a form from the dvla online this will take upto 14 days to come ,

you also need a medical D4 form a

,it took the DVLA 6 weeks to do mine at the end october last year, I rang them up every other day to get it rushed through aswel :laughing: so its a idea to keep ringing them to get it along quicker

the hold up is the D4 medical form so make sure its correct
