Hello all
Can someone help me please.
Im applying for my HGV licence, and on the form it ask`s which one you applying for, C -C1 - C1+E?
I would like to take my Class C then move up to C1 + E.
Can i apply for it all at the same time, or do it in stages?
I passed my test(car) in 1989 , and the catogries on the back of my licence say i have the following,A,B,BE,B1,C1,C1E,D1,D1E,f,k,l,n,p
Please advise
thank you

Tick the box C & D these are the separate 1s
This should give you the Cat C also Cat D for buses
You do realise that cat C1+E is 7.5t with a trailer exceeding 750kg ?
You seem to already have C1+E on your license so presumably you mean you want to do cat C then the C+E which is a full size artic.
Hello again
I would like to do the rigid, then artic,i presume i need to tick the C1+E box?
regards alan
Hi. As animal said, you need to tick provisional โCโ. At the same time tick provisional โDโ. It will cost you nothing and itโs an extra.
When you pass your cat C, DVLA will issue your full licence for C and provisional for CE (artic).
Hope all that makes sense. If not, suggest you call a trainer for further help.

Tick the C and when you pass that youโll get the provisional CE automatically, C1 is a sub-category of C so you can disregard it in your case. You may as well, as said, tick the D as it costs no extra.
