This will tax your brains , it has mine!
Near 60 and passed my class1 35plus years ago .
9 years ago I lost C and C+E on a medical , however C1+E stayed on the licence (I have moved twice ). Just moved again to a temporary address and they sent it back to me however there is no 107 restriction showing on it , so now I want to buy a 7.5tonner and a 4.5 ton max trailer for mostly personal use .
By the looks of it I can drive up to 12 ton GTW without a medical until I am 70…or do I need a medical ?
Do I need to tell them they have made a mistake ? Or have they ?
And what do I need regarding a digi card and the 35 hrs of pain that I have never done…
I’m not sure there is anything too taxing about it? You have acquired rights on the 7.5 and the towing. You need a CPC for hire and reward. You need a tacho if your driving in scope of the regs.
Come to think of it if its anything other than personal use you would need an o licence
The dates of entitlement expiry are on the back of the card.
The only way to find out for sure regarding the restriction would be to phone DVLA. If they have changed it, why? It may be to do with what was the case when you originally passed car / lorry. It does seem a bit inconsistent to change it, so you need some explanation one way or the other.
Having had a eyesight restriction code 01 on my licence for over 20 years. I think I have finally had it removed during my bi-annual eye examination. The DVLA Website has an option to remove it, replace it, tell them you have had a ■■■ change or had a total body transplant. I can still read number plates from the required distance x three

For anyone who might be thinking about phoning DVLA, you’ll probably be disappointed, they haven’t been answering their phones for quite some time now. Seems like the standard way to reduce the workload in any business is to state “we’re no longer doing XXXX due to Covid” Oh well, at least it’s a change from the old “can’t do that, 'elf n safety y’know…”
