Class 1 probably as the busses you are towing will definitely weigh more than 750kgs.
True. I just wondered if there was any kind of dispensation for a recovery vehicle.

Not sure if there is any dispensation for recovery as I worked for the AA a few years ago and you needed to have a class 1 licence for the reasons I gave before. Maybe it was just an AA rule and not a legal requirement though.
If you are recovering cars/vans on a tilt and slide, possibly 7.5, probably C
If you are recovering cars/vans on a tilt and slide, with a spec lift, C+E
Heavy recovery, C+E, unless you are in Scotland, then C

Would someone with the old class 2 with 102 restriction be able to drive say an 8 wheeled wrecker towing a full 44ton artic on there licence or would they need the ce without 102,seems crazy if they could, but couldnt drive the artic on its own but could tow it!
