Just been told at work today that aswell as all drivers completing op’s 18 licence checks, all office staff who have licences are also required to complete said form, surely this is just one companys sop and not all companys are this stringent, your thoughts guys.
Also, is it ok to have the old style licence with no plastic card! (office waller)

if it is company policy, then either deal with it or leave, simple
not all companies have the same procedures, but, it is standard practice for virtually all transport companies to do regular licence checks, usually every 6 months

if there is no expiry date on the old style licence, then there is no problem, but, when the office waller moves house or gets any alterations done to his/her licence, then it will have to be changed for a photocard licecnce
I wouldnt say it was unreasonable for you boss to check you still have a license from time to time. Perharps the office workers mite have to use the pool car to attend training courses.
Do old paper licences not have an expiry date and then a new photo card is compulsory.
Used to have a co-ordinator, line manager, planner or whatever he was called who didn’t even have a Car licence, I would always ask for someone else when he answered the phone.
Wee rant done but maybe its for your Companies insurance if your driving and parking on their premises.

Correct, the old style don’t expire and don’t need renewing although any alteration eg address change or adding a category requires updating to a photocard.

I can’t take credit, it was more of a question but I knew if they are in date they are fine.
Someone posted here recently that the company he worked for check every driver’s driving licence every day at start of shift.
