LHD Seddon-Atkinson 401s

Odd one this: as far as I know, the only LHD Seddon-Atkinson 401s were produced in day-cab form for the military (unlike the earlier Seddon-Atkinson 400 which had a proper long-haul LHD version). Examples of the LHD 401 keep popping up, however, in both its military and its post-military form; so I am going to open a thread to it to see where it goes. Robert

And this appears to be an ex-military 401 now in preservation. If anyone can add information about driveline and history, all the better. Robert
