LGV/PSV DCPCs

I’ve held a LGV licence for longer than I care to remember and have an up to DCPC card to go with it.
I have just passed my Cat D PCV test but blew my Mod4 (don’t ask).
My Instructor has said that all JAUPT approved courses count toward both categories of DCPC so my question is do I need do a MOD4 at all?
If an operator can’t differentiate between an LGV and a PCV DCPC card surely my current card would pass muster.
I’ve looked at some other threads on this and similar subjects but they are all quite old and likely out of date.
Thank you in advance for any informative responses.

Some courses are LGV or PCV specific and you’d have to ask training company. All mine but one are approved for both. http://www.lorry-driver.com

Doesn`t it show on .gov the state of your DCPC?

Do you have a pre 1997 licence with PCV D1 on it

When does your current DQC expire

If you did then you have PCV acquired PCV rights but might have to contact DVLA to get it on your DQC

Also periodic courses must be approved for both PCV + LGV

You still need to do your Mod 4. They are different classes. It’s only after you pass that you can have both updated by taking one module.
