Hello to all at Peter Smythe’s Transport training. (Mansfield)
I just really wanted to say a big THANK YOU! for my Cat C & C+E training that you helped me obtain. I decided to use you on merits that i had read online and of course Truck Net. I am over 100 miles away at Warrington, but found this to be no issue due to you putting me up in a B&B inc free eve meal which was helpful. The training and friendly nature of everyone there is first class. Brilliant trainers all very experienced and really made me feel at ease. I enjoyed every minute of the driver training with you… Thanks again! I would honestly recommend Peter Smythe to anyone in the U.K… they are genuinely great guys!
P.s I knew after my first visit to Peter Smythe’s that they were going to be the only training school for my LGV driver training
I say Ditto to Peter Smythe school. I attended Peter’s Open Day last weekend and met the team…I travelled from Leicester but it seems I will be short distance as a bloke from Poole was there and Canada had been for training…specifically for LGV training. I haven’t started yet but am 100% going to have the pleasure of using Peter’s school for both licenses very soon.
Yes, I was surprised that someone made a special journey from Poole to “have a look at us”. Thankfully he was suitably impressed.
Out of interest we have had trainees from the north of Scotland, the western isles, Devon and Cornwall, countless from the home counties. But the record is Canada closely followed by Spain (both ex pats that held UK licences). Before it’s picked up, the guy from Canada had plans to drive here from time to time so his licence was useful. (It would be no use in Canada).

So pleased I came to you as I came very close to being ‘ripped off’ (money we don’t have!) by a bogus Lgv driving school in Camberley Surrey luckily I looked into it, it was a close shave! some crook working out of his bedroom I am sure…website looked very swish! Be careful out there people!
