Doubtful. Many of us have been to Romania without having too many difficulties with not speaking Romanian. It’s more likely that they are looking for drivers who will spend weekends in the truck in the yard acting as unpaid security guards and working for £200 a week.

While £125 doesn’t seem a bad rate I can’t understand why you would need to be able to speak Romanian to do UK only ferry trailer and container work?
Notice that you need a MINIMUM of 6 points on your licence to apply for this job. 
I think the required language bit is just a ploy to get around the discrimination rules, and as ole C/F would say … on that note they want to employ a Romanian but are not directly allowed to state that.
£125 a day is terrible if that is max hours though

There are parts of the EU discrimination rules which apply to language restrictions.In which case it’s the employer’s responsibility to show that such restrictions are essential.No surprise they all seem to be orientated towards immigrant labour being disadvantaged not indigenous workers being told that their own language isn’t good enough to be employed in their own country.
