Told I’m going tramping for 2 weeks ( well I picked it as worse of 2 evils ),first 2 days training too do the job ,fri getting truck kitted out for Monday start .
I don’t know if they don’t trust me with some steel ,bit of rope and a sheet ,but it seems a bit ott to me ,I rember when they chucked the keys at you and said ,motor ,load,off you go ,and if you break it don’t bother coming back

Yeah but did you read about his other post which basically screws him out of redundancy? If he’s done it their way they can get rid of him next week and there’s no chance of redundancy as they asked him to resign from his old job instead of laying him off.

It would be TUPE but they asked him to resign and then reapply for the new position with the different company therefore the TUPE would not apply. It would only apply if one company brought the other out.

He hasn’t answeed as of now, no post waiting in pre mod queue from him.
Anyone else reckon 2 days training is a bit on the optomistic side for our dozy 
I do remember the good old days when elf and safety was more optional and chucking the keys at you with a scribbled note of ones collection/delivery point was the norm.
Now you need an induction just to cop a feel in the office after a works do.
I do wish dozy wasn’t on premod though…

It’s for the naughty boys. When they write something it doesn’t get posted straight away. It has to be approved by a moderator before it can be seen. The problem is that they may reply, the thread carries on and you don’t notice they’ve even replied because their post keeps it’s original position in the thread but it may have moved on 20 posts by the time it’s visible.
