Almost all wagons are 8’ wide
Length, I’d say 30 - 35’ long
It’ll be about eight feet wide, and the length (looks like) 30ish feet long… Looks like it’l take about 12 pallets, and a 30 foot trailer takes 15, then add on the cab.
A VERY rough estimate though.
And it looks like Wayne agrees
That will do, thanks chaps.
Length can be found on the VOSA plate jobby.
Width can be found in B&Q…about £2.50 for a cheapo tape measure.
We’ve hired one off MV Commercials. Overall Length 11m, width 2.5m, but really the only way to know for sure is to measure it.
Actually according to contraction & use regs the width is 2.5 metres
Except for refrigerated trucks which are 2.55 metres wide (to allow for the insulation)
As for length of an 18Tonner, that depends on what it was spec’d to carry when the original owners bought it… Up to the maximum length according to contraction & use regs

The length bit confuses me, although for a couple of quid more you can get a longer tape measure, at least long enough to measure the height
18t of what
Potatos, probably quite short.
Toilet roll, 12m as per the C&U regs.
