Left hooked

Its strange I drove left hookers all my driving life , if I was unfortunate enough to have to drive a RHD lorry I would always reverse on my blind side as I was used to reversing LHD ,things haven’t changed after 15 years of retirement , if I take my car trailer to the tip I still reverse to the skip on my blind side.

when I first passed I was asked to put a trailer on a bay between two other trailers,as usual there were two experienced colleagues standing around watching, took me 30 min and the sweat was dripping off me but done it without their help,3 weeks later I put a trailer into britax in hackbridge surrey, done it unbelievably in one shunt beside another trailer in a very tight place, one guy said to me he was amazed at how us hgv drivers do it,i replied well its experience fella,i walked back to the wagon with a smile and my head a lot bigger knowing I was still inexperienced, mind you never done it since, even after 27 yrs driving them, usually two shunts maybe three
