Just come back from Leeming Bar on the A1, doing a story for T&D.
Its priced £10 a night to park up, and £5 of that is a voucher for the cafe and/or bar.
I thought it might be worth flagging up, because the only thing cheaper seems to be a lay-by.

last time I was there (during the day),
AFAIK for £10, you only get a space on a rough piece of open ground, no CCTV or security fence.
wether theres a night watchman I dunno.
you might just as well park in the layby or the ind Est nearby and save your money
Parked their a couple of times since they opened the new ‘‘waste ground’’ parking area, noshed up at Maccy D’s for under a fiver, sod paying thr £10 for sweet F all, and no hassle for not paying 
the hollies is also £5.00.
its £5.00 at Quinny ( if you pay ) & 24 hrs
I think there was someone from the family who ran the place at Leeming Bar on TN recently. even their waste ground must be preferable to parking on the other waste ground at the Queer Now

Nearby Exelby services (northbound) was £2.80 about 12 months ago. Harrogate lorry park is £3 or £6. Wetherby services nearby are competitive with local prices at about £18 !!!

Hollies, stopped there once and once only wot a ■■■■ hole. The other down the road is 100 time better then hollies i think its called truckers rest

And I thought it was just me 
i would use leeming bar if i could get in.the dip to the entrance/exit to the lorry park is really severe.(my trailer runs an inch and half off the ground).
i have only ever used londonderry once.that was enough to mentally scar me for life.never ever again.
parking-was a pain to get in and out
food-was horrendous,overpriced tasteless greasy.
cafe-was about 40+ years past a major renovation needed.
customer service-non exsistent apart from the smell of bo coming from the assistant and the grunting instead of speech.
the barn full of pigs eating swill was more appealing across the road.
