They are generally warrantied for 3 x longer than the engine of an ICE vehicle. Battery replacements would be very rare and most good for in excess of 200,000 miles. Nice image though made by some oddball with a vivid imagination.

really? I thought they started to fade after around 2,000 charges or around 6 ish years. Losing maximum capacity, hence driving range especially when it’s reet cold.
I’m still hesitant because of the long term durability of batteries. But then again, conventional fuel ain’t gonna get any cheaper now as more oil and gas fields putter out and trump destabilises the entire middle east , and Europe.
In an ideal world, we would have solar on all roofs, and roof over parking areas. Then we could recharge for ‘free’ during the day. Instead we again allow moneybags capitalists to benefit from tax payer subsidies for massive solar farms on farmland.
