Leaving the army to become a fuel tanker driver

hi im leaving the army after 10 years …iv been a fuel tanker driver for most of that time and have secured a job with shell-hoyer for when im out …iv got my full ADR lv 1-9 and my taco card and just passed my full cpc …id there any advice any one can give me about the job please :question: :question: :question: :question: :question: :question:

Better off posting this on the main drivers forum page as that’s where the experience is.

Guessing you will have to do an induction for the refinery, safe loading, chocking wheel, earth clamp etc.
If you’re working for shell remember to to drive with your lights on :wink:

Only another 12 years and you will be on a good pension AND have a tanker job for the rest of your life. I know it is tempting to leave now and go out into the hustle and bustle of civvy street but I think you may look back at some point and doubt your decision. I wish I had stayed in the army and it is a regret I have carried for a lot of years. :cry:
