Im currently in my last 12 months with the army having signed off last week and really want to move into the transport industry. I passed my Cat C in 2012 but looking to get C + E and my CPC so i can get on the road ready for my last day of service so im not ■■■■■■■ about trying to do it once im already out. Is there any decent driving schools in the manchester/oldham area that anyone would recommend. Ive done 4 and half years so wont be getting a right lot in the way of resettlement so ill be paying for it myself, saves relying on the army this way too.

Did mine with Enterprise in Manchester but years back in 2004 - had no problems - very relaxed and good tutor but don’t know who is still there… link for the school and others in the area are in the helpful links at the top of this section. Make sure you contact a few and get a good range of knowledge of what they offer for the money. It’s got to feel right for you and given that its your money i know you will want to spend it wisely. What ever you choose good luck.
I also used Enterprise for class 1 and 2. Passed class 1 in October. Would recommend them. Red Rose also get a few recommendations - I had an assessment drive with them, but preferred Enterprise. I also thought their customer service was not very good.
