The truck at my 3rd drop in birmingham
This was my first drop on day 1 on shady lane
in birmingham. The sign on the gate says you
cannot reverse in at any time. So I had to turn
it around in the yard and reverse it where it is
in the pic below. It was ok today though as
there was only 1 truck in the yard.
I took these pics at hull and had
to drive the truck round the back
and spin it around and drive back
towards the exit then open the
door before reversing it on to the
bay. This was the worst bay there
but as an artic got on this bay
before me I had to do it. there
was about 4 empty bays around
the back which could be easily
backed on to
I parked in this lay-by just before
the humber bridge to take a 15
min break and everytime a
vehicle went past the truck rocked
Humber bridge cost £10 as I raised
the last axle.
Road after humber bridge was
very quiet
Gearbox is 4 over 4 with crawler gear
and the switch at the front changes
range. Up for high range and down
for low range

Ahhh,the joys of Russell Hume’s at Great Barr.Its great trying to do a 3 point turn in there at 3pm when all their vans are in with an artic.Made the chap laugh a few weeks back as when i got there he said “why do you always turn up when tea break starts”,i turned around and said “no problem,i’m paid by the hour and i’ll wait to tea break finishes,oh wheres the tea machine?”.He looked astounded and said"bloody hell most drivers go off on one when i say that".Me somedays i can’t be bothered to argue.By the way great pictures!.
