Las Vegas TCA truck stop

Taken at TCA (travel centres of america) just of I - 15 Las Vegas. December 2007.

I was in Las Vegas at the end of Dec and saw in the NewYear.
Didn’t get as many truck pics as I wanted ,here is a sample.
Went past a truck stop when travelling to Boulder City.Is this the truck stop you went to ■■?

I passed one on the way to Boulder City and the Hoover Dam. It was Called “Railroad Pass Casino” it was a hotel on the top of a hill with a big yard for trucks to park on. There was about 20 trucks parked up when we stopped there.
TCA is on the West side of Las Vegas. Down Past the airport and turn right.

Railroad Pass is a dunp…!!! Its somewhere I would park for a break, and thats about it, the food ■■■■■.
As for TCA, its actually TA Travel Centers of America, or to us over here, just the TA. We supply diesel to that partcular truckstop in Las Vegas and its just off the I-15.
If you wanted truck pics, you should have gone up into North Las Vegas where more of the industriall stuff is to be found, although Las Vegas iis not really a place where much industry is, most all of Las Vegas’s stuff is brought, there is very little manufacturing, other than casino stuff like slots, cards and chips…!! Most of the freeways round Las Vegas are just as good for truck pics. The Pilot at I-15 and Craig is always jammin…!!
Next time any of you guys are coming over this way, hit me up and we will go for a beer or ten. I’m in Vegas for fun about 5 times a year and for work at least 20 - 40 times a year. So always available.

Take care everyone.

I must admit you done a good job keeping all the rubbish and pee bottles out of your pictures. Most truck stops over here are full of rubbish and drivers pee bottles, amazing how difficult it is to walk 20 feet to put litter in a bin.
good pics though

it was spotless. and so was the “flying j” which was a few junctions up I-15.
I can also recommend the buffet in the railroad pass casino!

Are you kidding me…■■ Recommend the buffet in Railroad Pass…!!! :astonished: Last time I stopped there with my wife, we saw the buffet and turned round and walked out. Obviously you never tried other buffets like the Rio or the Bellagio while you were in Las Vegas.
Railroad is probably one of the worst holes, along with the Hacienda at the Hovver Dam in the Vegas area, oh and the Nevada Palace, don’t stopp there without your gun…!!!

Stu

There you go then, - “you saw the buffet” - but you didn’t try it. it was well worth the $6.95 or what ever it cost.

Yeah I saw it, almost threw up and walked the other way. If you want a cheap crappy buffet go to the Sahara at the north end of the strip, they claim its one of the best, but unfortunately, its one of the worst in Vegas, its cheap, but you’ll come out feeling pretty ropey…lol.
Bellagio or Rio are the only two worth eating.
