Lapsed LGV License

Can anyone give me a definitive answer as to how long an LGV license entitlement remains valid after a license has lapsed?

My circumstances are I have been a driver HGV Class 1/ LGV C+E for 40+ years and extended my license until my 66th birthday, shortly before that time I ‘officially’ retired, that was almost a year ago. I now find myself in the position of possibly doing some part time driving and need to ‘resurrect’ my license to do so. I realise a medical is needed at my age but should be no prob. I know I know just enjoy retirement but I’m not ready for Darby and Joan club yet! :sunglasses:

You have the answer which I can confirm because I went through the switchboard and spoke to a real person, eventually. I almost understood them too :stuck_out_tongue:
