yea there is a long story to tell, basically spent all its life in southern ireland doing all kinds of work, i bought it about 2 1/2 years ago and it took a long time getting it roadworthy type approved mot’d and registered over here

I bet every tipper driver has his own nightmare tail,of loading clinker in castle.as for driver holgate I saw him when we came back in October ,he was in good order.still the same Whot a character.

You can see the difference better on this shot. White corner panel under windscreen, grey sun visor and white headboard. Ollertons has chrome strips on top and bottom grille. I think it would look better on black but that’s just me .Very nice wagon with correct lead on ramps. :slight_smile:

I suspect this is a road-going replacement for the ex-military Scammell S24 which was used to pull carrot boats off fields.

Looks like it could attract plenty of attention when it goes into service.
