H&S rules,strapping etc.
When in the shed, everytime you walk from front to back of the trailer you have to push around what looks like a zimmer frame with a flashing light on top

Plenty of H&S rules in Lafarge (I used to work there).
All loads to be strapped, make sure your internals are the correct length before going in as youre not allowed to mount the trailer bed. Robroy’s correct about the ‘Dalek’, the Dalek stops the loader coming too close while you’re strapping the load down.
DO NOT walk round the back of your trailer whist in the shed, they’ll scream at you
If it’s your first time in there you’ll be inducted by a member of the Wincanton staff.

Make sure you abide by all the rules, they ban easy in there.
it’s a right [zb] ball ache! as everyone has said abide by their strict rules or else you will be out,got to push a metal trolly thing to whichever side you are wanting to strap so the forklift driver wont go near you,make sure you have your internal straps adjusted ready before you go in the sheds if you can as they dont give you anytime to sort them wwhen loading,plus can be there a good few hours waiting too.Have been there 5-6 hours in the past

If you ■■■■ & it smells, there will be an Evacuation procedure followed by a Risk Assessment & a Canary to test for Dangerous Gas, before they allow anybody back in the area.
On a serious note- I’ve not been to Lafarge Avonmouth, but at Couldon Works, you also need safety glasses along with all the rest of your PPE & they made one of our drivers buy some spansets because he didn’t have any ! (Wouldn’t let him use the internal straps)
