I did my ADR and DCPC their, the owner is a very pleasant and knowledgeable chap indeed , i don’t know about the driver tuition side, however the corridor leading to the classrooms is full of photos of drivers holding their various blue pass certificates, so i don’t think you will go far wrong with them.
Whilst i was their back in february the DSA were measuring the reversing area to be used for future tests, the unit i saw was on old generation volvo FH, it might pay you to book an assessment to drive the truck and meet the trainer, its your hard earned at the end of the day.
I used Atkins for class 2 in 2004 they are cheap for a reason, my so-called instructor was a “mate” of Mr Atkins (he liked to be payed in cash for the course at the time), consequently it took me a number of attempts to pass, i vowed never to use them again, do they still have the “bombsite” potholed reversing area next to the stables ?, you get what you pay for i.m.h.o .
Although a lot of recommendations is good, it is best to go along and see how YOU feel. Have an assessment and get a feel for the vehicle, trainer and general lie of the land.
Bumping this up as I am raining there now, test on Friday. I like the pot holed yard as practicing reversing in it and with the limited space should make the test a piece of cake for reversing anyway
