12 month contract
£4,210.00 per week plus flights to and from Kuwait and accommodation (in self-contained 2 bedroom shared apartments). Bedding, Linnen, towels etc are provided along with a house keeping service.
The apartments are new and internet and satellite or cable TV
Under the supervision of the Supervisor and Leads, performs the full range of duties required to operate/drive various military and civilian vehicles on designated missions.
Major job activities:

Performs PMCS on designated vehicles IAW current SOP or as instructed.

Loads and helps load cargo, i.e. vehicles, crates, pallets, boxes, etc on trailers in a safe and secure manner.

Ties, chains, straps down loads on trailers.

Performs minor repairs on section vehicles to include tire changing, adding POL products, changing lights etc as needed.

Assists other drivers in similar duties as specified leads and supervisor.

Ground guides vehicles, leads convoys, escorts trucks as instructed by leads and supervisor.

Reports problems/discrepancies with vehicles, loads or convoys to leads and/or supervior for disposition.

Maintains proper key control IAW SOP and current regulations.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Equipment used - Heavy equipment transporter, tactical and civilian type vehicles, material handling equipment.
Working Environment / Physical Activities:
Work is generall conducted in a shop environment; however duties may involve the conduct of work in the out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices.
Five years experience in OTR driving, MOS 88M, MOS 64C or equivalent combination is acceptable. Must have a valid Class A Commercial drivers licence that is valid for at least one year from date of arrival in Kuwait.
Must have the ability to acquire and maintan security clearance.
