I am looking at potential sources of employment, preferably night shift trunking, and with the KnowHow depot being quite close to where I live I was wondering if anyone had any experience of working with them? I was wondering about the usual stuff; shift patterns, rates of pay, types of work and such forth.
I drive past the depot quite regularly and one thing I notice is all the shipping containers that are parked at the depot, who is transporting these, Maritime?
Anyone? 
If I drove past regularly, Id pop by and ask to speak to someone from transport or get a phone number. Find out if they use agencies etc. Be proactive!
I applied there 3 years ago as we were under the threat of redundancy , the wages were circa 7/8,000 less than the p.a figure I was earning at the time , or that was how it seemed looking at the figures avaliable to
Me , I was also looking elsewhere and had offers but 1,000,s less p.a
I didn’t go as present company on learning I wa going ( references ) offered me tues - sat , giving me Sunday off , other jobs were including both days of w/ end .
It’s a decision I’ve lived to regret , haunts me , wish I’d gone , maybe not there but other offers on plate , monies not everything .
This is from 3 yrs ago things may have changed , did hear 30k now , but whether true not sure , best I can do

How far is gonerby moor , was told treasures have night trunk run to hub in brum going , but you’d have to ring to confirm

Gonerby Moor is about 40 mins drive away - close enough for the right job, I phoned them and spoke to their secretary, the TM was not available at that time but I have forwarded my CV along with a cover note for their consideration, I’ll wait and see what happens - for a starter.

Thanks for letting me know, I am just putting the feelers out to see what’s available, TBH I am still undecided as to what I want.
When I moved down to Lincolnshire I went in to Treasures to put a cv in and can honestly say that I’ve never had the misfortune to encounter such arrogant and surly office staff. I decided there and then that I’d never reward them by deigning to work for them!
Is Treasure Transport Brakes in a different guise or are they cooperating neighbours at the Gonerby Moor site? I put Treasure’s post code into google maps and it took me straight to the Brakes site.

It’s only a tentative application so I’ll not worry about it at this stage… I’ll wait and see what happens, if anything.

Two different companies mate. You carry on past the Brakes entrance and you come to Treasures gate.

Never been in there new yard , but went into there old one near a1/ a52 notts exit as we used there truck washing facilities and they couldn’t be more helpful , but it was 10+ yrs ago so maybe things have changed
Nightfreight ( not sure what there now called ) , running out of the vaculug site at gonerby hill foot always did night trunking , might be worth a call
Also put a search in for Hgv jobs Dagenham ( indeed ) , look at stobart Dagenham mib ( notts , Carlisle , rugby depots ) , maybe jobs going ,not sure , there is talk of tesco shop deliveries going and alsorts of other work ,flats , tippers ,low loaders ,.
But was told it will be used as a trunking station for coke - cola etc , maybe night trunking , not sure but a call cost next to nothing if your desperate
