Has anyone developed any knee injuries/problems through driving,■■?
Got any good solutions without bugging the doctor…or no end of appointments.
Done mine in again…although it’s originally from jogging in super ■■■■■ trainers years ago…i feel playing with clutch pedals all day may certainly be contributing to the problem this time.
Before anyone say’s it…i avoid jumping down from the back of trailers as much as possible…(was warned by an old timer…and too heed)…and take 2 extra strenght cod liver oil tablets everyday…
Bugger…maybe i’m just getting old
Ta Mon Man…To be honest when driving i wear sandals…just like the foreign boys…helps keep the feet from getting smelly…
Have a funny feeling the pair i’m using right now is part of the problem…as they have no shock absorber sytem in them…unlike the last pair…(lost one foot)…This has happened before with these…so i was just wearing them in the house originally
Use Dr M safety shoes…a few months old…but sod the money …think i’ll go out and buy both a new pair of safety trainers and sandals tomorrow…and some Glucosamine…(your spelling is spot on)

cod liver oil capsules do it for me.ss.
arthritis in knees aswell as arms, but one clo capsule per day eases my pain and movement no end.
try em.
Speak to BritPete. He used to have a lot of problems with his knees but I think he’s fine now and back behind the wheel so might be able to help you.
Super simely, sorry this will be quick as i am off to work
but ,have you been to see a ortherpedic (BONE)doctor
as you need to know why the knees are causeing some
much pain and problems before you can cure the problem,
AND itmay well be that the quack can resolve the problem
with out surgery, if your knees are however that bad as regards
wear and tear, artrithis, varusgonarithis, you may need medical
attention , i have had to have in my right knee renewed and in
the left have a new half knee, the recovery time and time between
operations varys normaly never under 6 months apart,
yyou then haave to recover again this varys also some people
do still have problems, ; SORRY but i have to go i will come
back on when i come home, and see what your reply is,
by theway i still need to take painkillers daily,
Smiley try Glucosamine (spelling) tablets. Great for joint pain/arthritis. It lubricates the joint surfaces.
I had the same sort of thing. I am only 35!
I was told about Glucosamine, you can get them from Holland & Barrett by the way.
Worked a treat for me!
As said…developed this injury years ago when jogging…+ used to do a lot of exercises involing leg work at the time…Every so often (quite a fair time apart) the left knee flairs up and becomes stiff…(no real pain or swelling though)…
Normally its to do with my footwear and not taking Cod liver tablet regular…but i’ve been up to date with both…so it could be the sandals…(which have shown signs of this problem before)…i only wear them when driving though… hence it could also be use of the clutch pedal all day…
I’m off out to get some super spring loaded sandals and trainers in a bit…
Splashed out and brought a pair of normal shoes a few years ago…for about £100…spring loaded business…(was doing a job permanently on my feet walking around)…week or two later the problem was gone…So i’ll try that first…rather than visiting the old doc…he’s a busy geezer…
…and some Glucosamine…but i’ll get some from Boots…cos if u go in about 1/2hr before close…load of sandwiches + others r reduced to 75p…
Ta 4 ya help
An old timer up in Carlisle told me that her cakes and cups of tea were a great pain reliever
@ super simlely, it will only take a vist to a BONE DOCTOR to
allow them to check you out, this time spent may be in end
effect better as a cause for your problem can be found and treated
or do what i didjust carry on until the knees said thats it we waant
replaceing, i am now back at work after 31 months off and have
one and half new knees, do yourself a favour go and get a expert
opinion,please,
Try an independant health food shop for Glucosamine rather than H&B - unless they have it on offer, they’re a lot more expensive. You may also find it in Boots as part of their 3for2 deals & also in Asda. Also note there are ‘one-a-day’ types & others you have to take 3 times a day.
I must find more interests in life
Got the Boots deal…high strenght 2 a day…
Nothing “long term” but god knows how many times i hit my leg/knee off the “4 series” scania door hindges when they 1st came out
